Made of solid pine, these caskets are suitable for cremations, burial in most green cemeteries, and for Orthodox Jewish burials. The wood is sourced from forests managed similar to the guidelines approved by the Forest Stewardship Council. The surface is simply sanded and not finished with stains or varnish. Only biodegradable, non-toxic glues are used. The caskets are shipped in a kit with instructions for assembly.
