These must be the best looking disposables in the world, they look so cool!
I checked out the bioplastic they use, it comes from www.stanelcoplc.com I got some samples and its great, it's strong and soft to the touch at the same time, not harsh like plastic, its also compostable in thin sections like film, it's used for all kinds of things, waste and carrier bags, food trays and film(food contact approved) pens like www.nature-pen.com flexible tubes for cosmetics, food, personal care etc(see the Stanelco news page from the link above) so many things that won't be using horrible fossil fuel based plastic it's great.
These bioplastics are made from potato and corn starch, they create far less CO2 and use far less ennergy in their LCA than plastic, they are great for sustanability, using renewable raw materials and reducing waste to landfill, the more products made with these bioplastics the better!
