Some other things that I do, I only wash once and rinse once in the dishwasher. I open the door to air dry, whilst waiting for the dish washer to do its job I clean up the kitchen, put away the dishes, and make a cup of tea. Many dishwashers have multiply programmes, on mine I can turn the knob to skip the extra washing and rinsing. It takes a couple of weeks to get the routine, after that it becomes automatic. Been doing it for 22 years!!! Think of all that hot water, detergent and electric/hydro I have saved, not to mention the DOLLARS!!!

Ive not used a dryer in my home since living here, 22 years, at first it was an economic thing and then became a habit. Canadian winters I hang laundry downstairs in the laundry room, summer time I hang it outside, seems like common sense to me. I never grew with either a washing or dryer!
