Traveling at speeds up to 150 mph, the Acela Express is Amtrak’s first high-speed train service It serves Boston, New York, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia. Hourly service is offered during peak morning and afternoon rush hours between New York, Washington, DC, and other intermediate cities. Between Washington DC and Boston, the trains stop at 16 stations. The trains have electrical outlets for laptop or DVD players as well as large tray tables and adjustable lighting at each seat.
