Fix water leaks

Office buildings can be subject to enormous water leaks from toilets, faucets, and broken pipes. A single leaking office toilet can waste more than 50 gallons of water a day, and a dripping office faucet or showerhead allows up to 1,000 gallons per week to slip down drains.[1]

Hiring a plumber or fixing them yourself will save buckets of water and money every year—doing nothing will likely cost you more. Consider these leak-stopping strategies:

  • Fix leaky faucets: Stop that constant dripping to cut employee irritation and water bills, too.
  • Check your toilet for leaks: Toilet leaks come in all shapes and sizes, some more obvious than others.
  • Seal leaky pipes: Get your plumber to check for leaks throughout your building, or do a little investigation yourself to ensure all of your pipes are in good working order.
