Dump & Run
Dump & Run is a nonprofit organization, based in Brookfield, Massachusetts, dedicated to assisting colleges and universities in implementing waste prevention techniques. The events allow college students to "dump" their stuff at the end of the year, and "run" out whooping with glee at the onset of summer vacation. If you don't want to go the whole nine yards and host a full-blown sale, team up with Wearable Collections. The organization provides collection bins to place in easily accessed areas around campus (Columbia University has enlisted the service) for students to drop used clothing. The organization will coordinate drop-off of bins and pick-up of the content, take care of all the promotional needs, and finally distribute the used clothing to people who need it.

It also serves as a network of campus activist groups across the continent working on issues from labor rights to climate change. The site is structured to contain mostly user-generated content, so if you find anything good out there, feel free to add it and make it available to others. The Sierra Student Coalition is a vast network of high school and college students who work to better the environment. The Climate Campaign provides a wealth of valuable information on how to launch a successful campaign against actions that contribute to global warming.

Arizona State University - School of Sustainability (Tempe, AZ)
Although it's the first of its kind in the US and fairly new—established in 2007—ASU's School of Sustainability is already making eco-headlines.
