A wide array of the children's clothes produced by Hanna Andersson have been certified by the Okeo-Tex Standard 100. This certification process, widely known and used in Europe, tests garments for over 100 harmful substances. The testing is exhaustive—every fabric, button, and thread of the garment must undergo thorough testing for over 100 harmful substances to achieve certification. Products must also be retested regularly to stay certified. Hanna Andersson is pioneering the use of Oeko-Tex certification in the US. The company has sold over 1 million certified garments to date.
