I've been using Oxy-Boost for a few years, mainly for cleaning up after pets. We moved into a house with off-white wall to wall carpets a few years ago and have indoor cats and two mini dachshunds. We would not have the carpeting anymore if it were not for this product. It absolutely works for both stains and odors. The only thing you need to make sure of, is that you mix it with very hot water. It needs to be fully dissolved in order to be effective. And once mixed it loses some of it's effectiveness after about 6 hours. This will clean up urine stains (even the ones that have dried that you didn't see right away) and will take away the odor. I've even used it on a spot of dried blood and it completely removed it. I often add it to my laundry when I have a lot of stained clothing. It's color safe.

When we had a Cabernet tasting at our home a couple years ago someone spilled a whole glass of red wine on the off-white carpet. Oxy Boost completely took it out. It works on most things organic but does not do a good job on grease. It also works great on outdoor decks and is safe for plants because it breaks down after use into naturally occurring, environmentally-neutral sodium carbonate. And it doesn't have any perfumes or dyes.

I used to use Oxi-Clean for these purposes but over the years the concentration of the oxygen cleaner and the addition of other fillers made it less effective than it once was. Oxy Boost has a much higher concentration of the oxygen bleach and I don't like all the fillers since I have pets.

This is the only thing I use in my carpet steam cleaner anymore. I just mix it with hot water to dissolve it and add it to the water. I don't use any other carpet cleaner along with it. It does a superb job, not just with pet accidents but for dirt from shoes, dropped food, etc. I LOVE this product!
